Roman Lamb Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1kg lamb shanks

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 700g tomato based pasta sauce

  • 2 carrots, chopped

  • 2 sticks celery, finely chopped

  • 2 sprigs rosemary, finely chopped

  • 4 sage leaves, finely chopped

  • 6 stalks parsley, fineley chopped

  • 1/2 cup dry red wine

    Method

  • Place all ingredients into a slow cooker on low and cook for 6-10 hours.

  • Remove bones from casserole before serving.
