Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common male sexual dysfunction that affects millions of men worldwide. ED is characterized by the inability to attain or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse. The causes of ED can be physical, psychological, or a combination of both. Focused shockwave therapy (FSWT) is a relatively new non-invasive treatment for ED that uses high-energy sound waves to improve blood flow to the penis and stimulate the growth of new blood vessels.
FSWT has been shown to be effective in improving erectile function in men with ED. The therapy works by generating acoustic waves that are targeted at the tissue of the penis. How does the treatment work?
We normally do 2 treatments per week for 3 weeks - 6 treatments in total. Treatment can be done weekly if required.
The treatment is done in the clinic. You will need to undress the lower part of your body. The shockwave therapy machine will be used on the penis and under the testicles. If you wish, you can hold the therapy handpiece yourself.
The treatment takes about 15 minutes and you will be able to go about your normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.
The cost of the Erectile Dysfunction treatment is $1800 for the 6 sessions.
